Why Podcast?

English Learners need many opportunities to speak English, but they are often reluctant and shy.

Choose topics that are relevant and interesting to the students.
Have students write a script of what they are going to say in advance.
Be sure that they have adequate practice time.
Encourage reluctant speakers by giving them small parts at first.
Ask leading questions that they can answer comfortably.
Cheer them on!
