Why Podcast?
English Learners need many opportunities to speak English, but they are often reluctant and shy.
- Choose topics that are relevant and interesting to the students.
- Have students write a script of what they are going to say in advance.
- Be sure that they have adequate practice time.
- Encourage reluctant speakers by giving them small parts at first.
- Ask leading questions that they can answer comfortably.
- Cheer them on!
